GTECforSTUDENT

The Global Test of English Communication (GTEC) for STUDENTS aims to inspire a generation of students to study and use English for communication in this age of globalization, where a working knowledge of English is one of the keys to participating in a globalized society.

What is GTEC for STUDENTS?

GTEC for STUDENTS is committed to helping students and teachers meet the educational challenges of a globalized society. To keep up with the pace of globalization, junior high schools and high schools in Japan have been modifying their school curriculums and teaching methodologies to focus more on English communication skills, such as essay writing and public speaking. As these changes are taking place in school systems, universities across Japan are understandably following suit.

Given these changes, GTEC for STUDENTS and its associated programs have been developed to provide teachers with excellent tools for improving the effectiveness of their English language programs. Likewise, these programs help teachers to motivate their students to use English correctly and “actively”.

As GTEC for STUDENTS has been developed based on teachers' and students' needs, it has been widely accepted and the number of test-takers has been growing fast year by year. This means you may have more chances to see applicants from Japan with GTEC for STUDENTS scores!
